Melinda Bam is Miss South Africa 2011, Business woman and Entrepreneur, Director of Womentality Empowered, Motivational speaker, TV personality and Presenter. Born in Pretoria, Bam was crowned Miss South Africa 2011 after which she embarked on her reign and mission to reinvent the role of Miss South Africa, and forge a career with Women empowerment at the core of it all, that stretched far beyond her title. Concluding her reign as Miss South Africa, Melinda competed in the Miss universe pageant and placed 6th at the final.

From 2013  2015, Melinda Bam was appointed to a new post as National Executive of Miss South Africa Pty Ltd joining the Miss South Africa team.

Bam started a business and co-founded Womentality. The business presents workshops that have been composed to cultivate a positive mentality in the youthful female heart. With this, she has developed a program to facilitate skills needed by young women to cope with certain societal demands, and touch on elements from public speaking to grooming personal branding. With her business minded approach, hard-workmanship, sense of humour, and wit, she has charmed audiences around the country while making an impact with her corporate social investment projects while re-invests much needed funds into young people's lives.

Bam started as a presenter for 4 years in a popular and award winning lifestyle program Pasella where she has concluded interviews with many other well-known celebrities. Bam is now producing and starring in her own show "Wie's Jou  Poppie". This is a women empowerment show that aims at breaking stereotypes often associated with women.

As an accomplished model managed by Boss models Johannesburg, she has graced the covers of different magazine publications over 19 times. These include, Cosmopolitan magazine, Glamour, Women’s health, Maxim, FHM, Sarie, Huisgenoot, Men’s Health, Viola , Prive, Longevity magazine, Fitness magazine.
